If you’ve been reading this site for awhile, you’ll have seen a number of links to Photography Concentrate, another amazing site with photography tips that I highly recommend.
“Learn Photography Faster” is their tagline, and they’re serious about it.
Lauren and Rob were kind enough to give me a copy of both their Super Photo Editing Skills and Awesome Album Design Skills tutorials to check out and review, and they’ll be giving away your choice of one of them to a winner (see entry info below).
I’ve been using Lightroom and InDesign for editing and album design for a few years now, so I was pretty sure it’d all be review for me.
Boy was I wrong.
Clear, concise teaching I wish I would have had when I first started
The tutorials were amazing. I picked up a number of small tips that saved me a ridiculous amount of time and made album design fun again.
Yes, I said I enjoy album design now. You would not have heard that come out of my mouth in the past.
Their videos clearly walk you through exactly what you need to know as a photographer.
No fluff, just the concentrated information you’re looking for.
Here’s one of the videos from the Super Photo Editing Skills tutorials and one from the Awesome Album Design Skills to give you an idea of what you’re getting.
This video also makes you see why InDesign is ridiculously awesome for album design, and it doesn’t even come close to showing all the ease of designing with it. It’s worth watching the whole thing.
I wish I would have had them when I was first starting out.
Can you learn this stuff on your own? Yes. But it will take you so many more hours searching Google that you’ll never regret having picked this up now instead. Their quick tips and tricks alone have helped me save a bunch of time.
I could go on and on about these tutorials because they refined my editing and albums skills so much, but I will let you click over to their store to read more about them on your own. I’d hate to sound too much like an infomercial.
But seriously, buy them.
Win a copy of Super Photo Editing Skills or Awesome Album Design Skills!
Rob and Lauren have been awesome enough to offer up your choice of the two tutorials for a giveaway! They rock.
Here’s what you need to do to enter:

That legal disclosure stuff
I did not pay for my copies of the tutorials, and I receive a commission for each tutorial purchased using my links above (click here to learn more about this and how to do this yourself). But if that bothers you, please feel free to go to their site directly and not use the links in this post, as I still think it’s a product worth having. I’d never promote anything I don’t believe in (and trust me, I get lots of people asking me to do this) so please rest assured that I’m not just after your money.
P.S…..
I’ll be writing a post about all the Black Friday & Cyber Monday sales that I think photographers would find useful, so check back here in the next few days or sign up for our email list to get a reminder when the post goes live.
To all my friends out there celebrating Thanksgiving this week, have a lovely time being thankful for all you have!
I’m thankful for each of you who have left comments, subscribed to the site, supported me in this endeavor, and encouraged me along the way. You all seriously rock!
